http://techdairy.com technology the milky way Tue, 02 Feb 2010 07:47:22 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.9.1 en hourly 1 http://techdairy.com/2010/02/02/multitouch-in-windows-7/ http://techdairy.com/2010/02/02/multitouch-in-windows-7/#comments Tue, 02 Feb 2010 07:47:22 +0000 milkman http://techdairy.com/?p=104 Multitouch in Windows 7 is like syrup on a hamburger.  The syrup is multitouch and the hamburger is Windows 7.  Windows 7 has a metaphor that isn’t suited for multitouch.  It’s an operating system that was built for the use of a keyboard and a mouse, not for fingers.  What we’re left with are a whole bunch of buttons that are hard to click, a whole bunch of windows that are hard to drag, and a whole bunch of applications that either don’t have touch support at all, or have different interactions from one app to another.  It’s a mess!  I’ll still eat my hamburger, just without the syrup.
